What Is IPL?
Intense Pulsed Light (abbreviated as IPL) simply describes the use of intense pulses of incoherent light distributed over a range of wavelengths; the emitted spectral bands range from 420 to 1200nm. This technology works on different hair colors in the skin through specific wavelength ranges. IPL has a wide range of treatments and can be used in the treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions, skin photoaging treatments and hair removal.

What is the treatment principle of IPL?
Broad-spectrum pulsed light is delivered through a continuously cooled applicator and placed gently on the skin. The wavelength range can be changed by the cut-off filter on handpiece, which can be optimized for different applications and different skin types. The pulsed light penetrates tissue and is absorbed and damaged by relevant chromophore (blood chromophore in the treatment of vascular lesions, melanin chromophore in the treatment of pigmented lesions). The body’s natural processes then clear away the debris, leaving the skin firmer, whiter, and more elastic for a more youthful appearance.
